I have several hundred DVDs and keep them in binders instead of their original DVD cases. I have two questions:

1) If I have flagged all the DVDs that I have in one binder, is there a way I can "bulk change" the "Location" field for all the flagged discs so only those discs that are flagged have something like "Binder 4" in the Location field?
2) I have some multi-disc titles, such as movies that include both a BluRay + DVD disc. I keep all my BluRay discs in one binder and my DVD discs in several other binders. Since the movie title was added with multiple discs, can I change each disc so they show their proper location? (e.g. Location=Binder BluRay for the BluRay disc, and Location=Binder 4 for the DVD disc)

Thanks for the help!

Regarding question 1:

The PlugIn "BulkEdit" should do the trick. It's available in the "Downloads"-section of this site.

Regarding question 2:
This is possible.
Make sure all included discs are assigned to the profile you want to edit (Check in the profile editor - "Discs"-section").
If they are not you can easily enter them by putting them into BluRay-ROM drive.

When all discs are correctly assigned they will show up in the "Personal"-tab of the profile. Just highlight the one you want to edit.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

The other tip I give folks is to pre-select the profiles to be edited using DB Query plugin. That way you can select for almost any condition and set flags for Bulkedit.

Bulkedit also has Regex find / replace if you know how to build regular expressions.
Thanks for your support.

Yes but ...
A profile that contains several discs under DVD -> Edit -> Discs and you can assign Location/Slot to each of this discs. However If you want to sort by Location/Slot, only the first entry is shown as  a column for each profile. I don't know if DB Query can help you there, give it a try.

Example: "Bambi - Diamond Edition" 8717418291365 contains
Main Feature (Blu-ray) - 026D9CB449D1D752
Main Feature (DVD) - FB531FAB61ADA5F4

So if you assign Location/Slot to those two, only the Blu-ray will show up in a sort.

If you however choose to include the child-profile for the DVD, you could add Location/Slot there, uncheck Collection -> Nest Box Set and a sort will work as wanted.
