| Posted: | | | | Just bought a real oldie... Scrooged (097363-205449) was released on DVD in 1999 Anyway, my copy came with a slip case. The scans in the database are w/o slip case. I have a sneaky feeling that this title may have been re-relased with slip case while it originally had none, even though the other way around seems more usual. So, does anyone know for sure if it was originally released with or without slip case? | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | I don't think Paramount did slips in 1999, did they?
Anyway, I saw a Scrooged DVD at Big Lots with a slipcover. It was a Christmas theme with windows and snow. Is that the one? |

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, the slip cover was most likely part of a re-release. |

Anyway, I saw a Scrooged DVD at Big Lots with a slipcover. It was a Christmas theme with windows and snow. Is that the one? It's a xmas theme with windows and xmas tree ornaments. No snow, though. And I strongly suspect that you're right in that they didn't do slips in '99. Edit: Correction - There is a bit of snow at the bottom of the lower windows. | Posted: | | | | I agree, I don't think they did a slip for this back then. I have this release, purchased in 2005, and I don't have a slip on mine. Does the slip have a date on it? That might be a good indication of a re-release. Mine says 1999 on the bottom right. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | My copy which, if I remember correctly, was purchased fairly close to the original release date, did not come in a slipcase. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | From my recollections, Paramount was among the last to start using slip-covers or slip-cases, and when they started it was usually only on re-issues. Of course now everyone uses them too much, but back then Paramount never did. I'd say for 99% certain the original did not have a slip. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |
