| Posted: | | | | How can I create a report that will sort Blu Rays first, then Disney movies, then all the rest? I have tried to make several reports, but have not been able to figure it out. |

| Posted: | | | | There's a couple of ways that I can think of... Easy enough to sort by media type to get your BR before the regular DVDs but then since 'Disney' is not a media type, I'm sure you've found that won't fully work. Another method, if you don't already use the Slot or Location fields would be to first populate those (for example all BR's would have a Location of 1, All Disney films a location of 2 and everything else gets a location of 3. Then you could sort the collection by this column and be sure to print the report using the "As sorted" option. Down-side to this method is that you'd have to go into every profile to place this Location value on each disk - at least you'd only have to do this once though. Lastly, you could try manipulating the Collection number values to force your collection to sort the way you'd like. Dowside to this methd though is that every time you added a new purchase you'd have to foce a title numbering change all over again. |

First all BDs, then all DVDs with a Tag 'Disney' and at last one of the DVDs that don't have that tag, meaning all the rest. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

cya, Mithi Thanks for that....forgot all about BulkEdit! As for printing 3 separate reports, I assumed the OP wanted a report they could call in one pass - running 3 separate ones just sounded 'too easy' |

The orde should now be "Blu-ray" "DVD, Disney-DVD" and "DVD" cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
