| Posted: | | | | Hello together,
is there any function behind this feature.
I thought it might helps, when I have Box Sets with several discs but wants only the main film to appear in the list.
My problem is, that I wants to have a physical number for the extra disc.
Thanks in advance.

This number is visible on the upper right corner of the collection-list in the program. If you have e.g. "Bambi: Doubleplay" which consists of a BD-profile and a DVD-profile as a child this counter will show "2". Now you delete the DVD Profile because it is only an extra-disc and the counter goes to 1 as expected. In the "Personalize..."-dialog of the BD you can now up the "Count as" to 2 to reflect the number of discs. ...that should work with "count as", see above. Have you tested this ? If i turn the "count as" number to 2, the next DVD which I add, ignores it and uses the nuber for the new profile. |

| Posted: | | | | That's right. There is no connection between the (meaningless) profile number and the number of DVD's in a profile. A profile can have any number of DVD's, starting with zero.
You can use the Count As feature in any manner that fits your own needs. Counting physical discs, counting movies, not counting individual discs in TV season sets, whatever.
The profile number can be sorted in different manners, and some people use it to mark their DVDs, but generally it is bad database practice to put any meaning into a number that is filled more or less automatically. | | | Hans |
