| | Posted: | | | | I'm a new user to DVD Profiler and am loving it so far, even though my collection is very modest compared to alot I've seen in here.
One thing I'm not quite grasping though is how to set up my online database. There's been no problems uploading my collection but it's uploaded everything, even though I ticked "owned" only in the settings box beforehand. Also, in the settings for specific profiles in my collection I ticked "Hide in online public listing" but it doesn't seem to have done this, as everything is visible.
Can someone offer any advice on what I've done or haven't done?

| | Posted: | | | | I haven't really messed with this to know. But I wonder if it is that you can see it since you are logged onto the site. But it is hidden from everyone else. I would take note of the address for your collection. Sign out of the site... and then go to your collection and see if you still see those titles. | | | | Pete |

Thanks Firstly, after you have set any checkboxes regarding visibility in the onlie, you have to re-upload the collection again. Secondly, there's a difference between what you see when you're logged in and what everyone else sees. One way to find out is to Sign Out and then watch your collection in an "out of body experience".  | | | Karsten

| | Posted: | | | | Thank you all for your kind assistance...as has been pointed out the problem was that I was still logged in when checking out my collection, hence everything showed up. Once accessing the link externally only my owned collection was revealed with all other filters active.
