error pops up anytime I attempt to backup the db.

"A file access error occurred

DVD Profiler is unable to acquire access to the file.  Please check file and directory attributes and permissios

Cannot create file C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\local\DVD Profiler\Databases.dod"

current buile 3.7.2 - 1444
w7 on a Toshiba L455 laptop

Permissions and attributes seem too be the issue.

I keep having to reset properties from 'read only' in order to perform a successful backup

Clearly I am no w7 guru so any help would be appreciated

You have to upload the image file to the internet, for example using www.imageshack.us

But if I may venture a guess. Did you try to create a backup file or a collection export XML file directly on "C:\"?

Windows 7 has stricter rules on where it allows you to dump your personal data. Try to save the file onto your desktop or your My Documents folder.
