| Posted: | | | | I think i asked this years ago once, but i want to ask again, so sorry if you fell disturbed. Didn`t find any Thread recently about this Topic either. Why is there no feature to mark Disc that are no longer in my Collection as "Previous owned"? so i avoid to buy then again. I have nearly 1000 DVD/HD-DVD/BR and it happens more often that i get rid of Disc when i watched then once, because i know, i will not watch it a second time. Or the Movie is crap. Or it got lost, and was replaced with a newer version. But for this number of Disc it`s sometimes hard to remember if i had that Disc in any Version before. (and yes, i have to remember other things then just movie Discs. Also Space is a Problem to store them.
In the Moment i use a "User" named Previous Owned, when i unlist the Disc. So the Disc will listed as Loan Overdue. Which is not the Best Solution.
And i know, it is a Home-List Solution of My Collection, but since the Collection changes, i want to keep track of what i had in my Collection, too..
To implement it, should not be so hard, i think there are other Feature which neede more Time to implement. And if you don`t like it, don`t use it. But let other have this feature, which i think would be helpful to keep track of the Collection.
Am I really the only one missing this?

| Posted: | | | | Most of us are collectors, and we never give or throw anything away. If for some reason a DVD is no longer in my collection, I move it to a separate collection (you can have as many as you want), but I agree it is easy to loose sight. So I would support your feature request, although not with a high priority. But it would be more easily solved than an overhaul of the cast/crew system... | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | As a workaround you might want to use the "Collection Categories" where in addition to the 4 default categories (All, Owned, Ordered, Wishlist) you can add any (up to 10) custom category you like. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

That's what I do. My categories (including custom ones) are as follows: - Blu-ray - DVD - Sold (previously owned & sold) - Owned (= Blu-ray + DVD) - Ordered - Wishlist That seems to do the trick for me | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

Other workarounds could be Tags which would make them easier to filter I think. Or the already mention Collection Category which might be the most elegant solution. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

That seems to do the trick for me Yes.
