| Posted: | | | | Clarification required of the clarification below! Does it means "Angel: The Complete First Season" is not how to do it? YES/NO
The title for a Box Set should be the title listed on the Front Cover; for example The Andy Griffith Show. Season indicators, if listed on the cover, should be entered as part of the title, not the description. e.g. Angel: The Complete First Season
The way I read it, it should be "Angel. The Complete First Season" or for a example of a TV series with a descriptor would Babylon 5 be "Babylon 5. The Complete First Season: Signs and Portents" |

| Posted: | | | | The Andy griffith show example uses the period and I looked at some of the online covers and there is no full stop on the end of those titles Quoting TheMadMartian: Quote: Quoting Cyclic Zen:

| Posted: | | | | That is because The Andy Griffith Show is the end of that sentence. It is saying to take the title of the show from the front cover. And if there is an indicator for season/complete series (what have you) it is to be in the title field not the edition field. Then we separate with a colon as in the example of Angel: The Complete First Season. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Ok forget about the full stop. But is does say "should be entered as part of the title, not the description" you are talking about the edition field not the episode descriptor "?Episode descriptors are part of the title; separate them with a colon and space; e.g. "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock". For multiple descriptors, use a colon and space for each break." Quoting Addicted2DVD: Quote: That is because The Andy Griffith Show is the end of that sentence. | Posted: | | | | There is 2 fields in the program that effects the title (for this situation). The Title field and the Edition field. So it is saying it should be
Title Field: Angel: The Complete First Season Edition Field: Blank
Unless there is an edition on the cover as well. The Desperate Housewives sets come to mind here...
Title Field: Desperate Housewives: The Complete Second Season Edition Field: The Extra Juicy Edition
I am not sure why the rules use the word description in the TV series rules... since that isn't what the field is called. I see how that can cause confusion... especially if English isn't your first language. But above is how it should be done in each situation. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |
