| Posted: | | | | I have an existing parent profile for a boxset of the TV series 'Rome' with 'Netherlands' locality. This set contains 10 discs. I have created new profiles by disc id for al those discs (well actually changed the locality from English to Netherlands and changed the rest of the profile where needed, since the discs are realy the same).
Now I want to add al those children to the parent, but when I edit this, in the tab 'Box Set Contents' my child profiles are not available. Am I missing something? I've even added a disc id to the parent profile under 'Discs', to see if that helped, but it didn't. Also when I go to the profile with the English locality (with the same sutup/laout) and I remove one of the discs, I am not able to re-ad it.

| Posted: | | | | Try a database repair first (Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Database Repair).
Make sure the "child-profiles to be" and the parent profile are located in the same collection type (Owned, Wishlist, Ordered).
Try again. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Problem solved. Database repair didn't help. But I had my parent profile and copied/changed/new locality child profiles in my 'Owned' collection and the 'originals' in my 'Wish List' (assigned to a parent profile as well). They had different localities, but I guess DVD Profiler had them still linked somehow. As soon as I removed the profiles from the 'Wish List' ('remove from collection'), I was able to add the child profiles in the parent in the 'Owned'. I'am glad that removing them didn't remove them from both collections or the new ones from the other collection.
Thanks for your help.

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to be so dense, but could somebody re-explain the bug to me? Just in case it might affect my BulkEdit programming some day, I would like to understand it better. (I know it must not be complicated - just some kind of mental glitch in my understanding right now.)
Thanks in advance. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | @mediadogg, I think this describes the problem and explains it. Seems like adding a link should be pretty straightforward, but... http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=556356&PageNum=1&messageID=1603985#M1603985 @Mithi, I know I've seen links in your posts... What am I doing wrong? (explanation here)Thanks Fred! Where did you find out that little essential piece of information? | | | Last edited: by Andrew S. Kojnok |

| Posted: | | | | It won't create a link if there isn't something inside the brackets. ie. 1. [ a href="something"][ /a] will not be a link whereas 2. [ a href="something"]something between the brackets[ /a] will be a link Removing the spaces around the brackets: 1. 2. something between the brackets | | | -fred |
