| Posted: | | | | Often when I compare my own profiles with those from the database to look for possible updates and I find differences I ask myself "Which is right? My profile or that in the database?" For example when the Database says "Running Time: 120 minutes" and my profile says "121 minutes". Or when audio tracks are sorted in a different order. I could of course put the DVD into the player and look for myself, but when you are updating almost 2000 profiles that would take a hell of a lot of time.
In many cases it would be helpful if the comparison screen would not only show the differences between the two profile versions but also the notes from former contributions, because in that case one could see, if someone already worked specificly on that data and made a correction or if it is still the "raw" version that was contributed when the profile was first created.
If someone already made a correction, then one knows that the database version is correct and one can update ones own profile. And if there are no specific notes on the data concerned, one knows that the DVD has to hit the player to be sure. |

Highlight a profile -> Click on the icon named "View Contributors" -> Click on "View Contribution Notes" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
