Hi!

Hope I posted this in the correct section of the forum.

Would it be possible to integrate a feature into the profiler that marks differences in the overviews from one's own profiles and those available in the database in the update preview? It is really time-consuming and often frustrating when one has to compare the text word by word and symbol by symbol to find differences like typos, spaces or quotations.

"Desktop Feature Request" might have been the better choice, but anyways...

Yes, that would really be a good idea!

cya, Mithi

PS Workaround: copy both into an editor that has a compare-feature.

I also agree that it would be a great feature. The method that I used to use for comparing was effective (for me) but somewhat cumbersome.

However, until such a feature is added, I found an awesome alternative: http://text-compare.com/

You copy/paste the text on each side, click "Compare" and it highlights. Simple. It's online and it's free so anyone can use it without having to install anything.

The only downside is that, because standard text boxes are used, it does not register bold and italics formatting.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.
