I've been using the dvd profiler for almost 5 years now but I'm still struggling with some details. First one is how am I suppose to scan a cover with the proper ration? Everytime I use my Epson RX595 all in one copieur/scanneur..., the size of my cover scans are wrong. They are small and I've tried everything to correct it. Can someone guide me to have the right size please?
Also, I foind personnally that almost every title listed on dvd profiler has something wrong with their title. Let me explain my view: why a title would appear as this: Gladiator extended edition or Jaws widescreen...to name a few. Those movies didn't have those things attached while they were playing in theaters or on dvd. So presently, I'm trying to correct one by one, each title in my collection to reflect simply the title. It takes a lot of time when you ahve over 2400 movies...

Widescreen, Extended Edition and so on are supposed to be in the edition field. Not the title field. I have a hard time seeing this in the title field of almost all your titles. Though it does usually show with the title in your list. This can be controlled in the Options menu. You can choose to separate with a dash or a colon or choose not to show the edition at all.
I don't have profiler open at the moment to tell you exactly where it is in the options... but it is there. | | | | Pete |

| | Posted: | | | | with my epson cx5000 - I scan the whole cover and it usually shows up at around 2300dpi . .I then 'resize' that to 600 dpi ., I then save the image .. I then submit the cover and if the scan is good and the colours are (close to ) bang on and the cropped image is not cutting into any of the surface details, such as the top /bottom or sides and as well as there is no dirt or dusty on the scanning glass.. the image usually gets approved .,, as my past approved 300 images have proved ..  | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | | Posted: | | | | The options for displaying the titles are under Tools->Options->Display under Edition Format. There are four options, one is to show the title only.
You can also change the Title Format to display the original title (for foreign films) or both at the same time.
If you're getting small scans, it sounds like your DPI is set too low. I have mine set to 350 dpi and after scanning I resample the images to 50% before I paste them into Profiler and contribute them.
