When I add a new movie, normally dvd profiler connects with the internet so that I can see an (mini-) example.
Normally a small text appears and also the cover of the movie.
I am sure I have a connection with the internet.

This appears in the mini-example:

This program cannot display the webpage

  Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

  What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

    Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

    More information

What else can I try please??????????????????

Have you made some settings in Tools -> Options -> Online that might disallow a connection?

Have you tried the "Test Internet Connection" button there?

And if it doesn't work, have you tried "Use alternate Internet connection method"?

First thing:
Check the logfiles of your firewall for a blocked program: dvdpro.exe
If you find it there set the program as allowed with type "Browser".

If it wasn't your firewall:
Are other programs affected too, or is it only DVDProfiler?
If it's happening for other programs too: Check your Internet connection settings
If it's only DVDProfiler: Do other Online-Features (Collection-Upload, "View Profile Contributors") work?
If "Yes" recheck the log-file of your firewall, if "NO" please come up again.

In the meantime you might want to perform two things:
a) a Database Repair (via "Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Database ...")
b) a the DVDProfiler Connectivity test (via "Tools -> Options -> Online")
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Might want to check any firewalls or AntiVirus software.  I've had both in the past decide to block access for a number of programs.
