I have a TV series (Andromeda) that has never had a box set released.  That is all the seasons released at once.  I would like to have them all combined into one entry in my profiler, but I don't know how to create a 'blank' entry to add the seasons into.

Thanks for any help!

I believe all that you'd need to do is DVD>Add to Collection>Add by UPC, untic the check box "Download Profile from Invelos" below and create a manual UPC number.

No, no, no. Bad idea. No fake or "manual" UPCs.

But 8ball was not entirely wrong. Instead you go to "Add by Title" and uncheck "Download from Invelos" there. That will give you a proper manual profile.

What 8ballMax said, but use Add by Title.  Profiler will give it a Manual ID (like "Manual DVD #1").

I agree with others that by title is the best way to go. This way there is no chance of accidentally submitting the fake UPC to the main online database.

My bad...you guys are spot on. It's been a very, very long time since I added a manual profile. I'd forgotten that DVD Profiler will add the Manual UPC when Added by Title.

Thank you for correcting my oversight .

Andromeda does have a boxed set, Andromeda: Slipstream Collection though it may not be for the region or connected to the DVD sets that you are using:

UPC: 702727141027

It would be a bit of fibbery since you are likly using different copies than what are included, but you can always add that title (but not the child profiles) and then move your entries into it.  This, of course means, though, that you have to be careful what you submit to the database afterward, making sure not to submit any parts of this that aren't from the true boxed set.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

^ That'd be a cool container, even if, as Blair said, the parts don't match the boxset contents.  Just change the UPC to a manual ID and customize to your heart's content!
