Searching for ither than titles

I have looked and looked and checked help and this forum but was unable to find me how to search for example an Actor or all discs that are region 1 or episodes that are contained in a series box set. In essence how to search for items other than "title".

Also how can I view all titles sorted first by Genre and then a *sub genre*, eg: Science Fiction Horror all together, Science Fiction Serial all together. These are all Science Fiction but have a sub genre.

Without of course creating an new "genre" called Sci fi horror / sci fi serial etc.

If youu switch to the filter window (if you can't see it View->Windows->Filters) you have a number of tabs where you can combine a lot of possible filters. Like searching for title and cast or crew and genre or studios and so on.

Unfortunately you cannot sort by more than one column. You could use the filters again, e.g. filter for all titles that have SciFi and Horror as genre.

Either the built in filter that DJ Doena mentioned or if you need a mightier (but also more complex) tool: go to the Plug-in section and download 'Database Query'

Fantastic. Thankyou both.
I have to say I am surprised it is not under the normal "search" where it logically belongs.

Hopefully sorting on more than one column is a function they will soon implement.
