| Posted: | | | | From the birth year-thread: Quote: Matthew Barry (1962) Matthew Barry (1974) Matthew Barry (1986) Documentation: Page 54, Post 10 Please note: there's a chance that the 1962 one's common name is actually Matt Barry, in which case we wouldn't need that birth year. I'll look into that. So, this is me looking into that. Please ignore the other Matthew Barry's for this - this thread is meant to focus solely on the credits of the 1962-born Matt(hew) Barry. He's primarily a casting director, and we don't track those credits, but he's got a number of acting credits as well, often on films for which he did the casting. - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0058089/- http://www.matthewbarryteaches.com/- http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/individual/22763MATTHEW BARRY- Ed Wood (confirmed by me) - Family Ties: The Third Season (confirmed by me) - Family Ties: The Fifth Season - Indecent Proposal (confirmed by Merrik) - La Luna - No Way Out (confirmed by huskersports) - Rush Hour 2 (confirmed by me) - The Wraith (confirmed by Addicted2DVD) MATT BARRY- Alpha Dog (confirmed by me) - Crimson Tide (confirmed by me) - My Sister's Keeper (confirmed by me) - Devil in a Blue Dress (confirmed by me) - The Notebook (confirmed by me) - Rush Hour (confirmed by me) It seems to turn out okay: from what I can tell, the remaining two unconfirmed credits are likely both "Matthew" too, meaning that "Matthew Barry" stays the common name for now, with the birth year, as it's still needed. However, if he does just a few more acting jobs credited as "Matt"... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

By the way, Kluge's post has the last names spelled Berry | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! | | | Last edited: by huskersports |

I'll save the problems surrounding the various people named Matt and/or Matthew B erry - all entirely different people than the three Kluge brought forward - for another time... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | I have Matthew in Con Air as well, but it's an audit I didn't do and never have looked over the credits of it. Unless it's a different BY/same name. imdb has them the same for ehat that's worth. |

For what it's worth: be warned that if you just look at the titles in the pop-up credits window that appears in DVD Profiler when you click on someone's name, the program doesn't display the (uncredited) tag there. So even if you have him listed as (uncredited), you can't see that see that in that credits window - making it look like it was a regular, credited appearance. |

Which raises the question, if his roles pop up when you double click his name in the program, with the dividers and all that, why doesn't uncredited? It even be red font instead of black. |

Why it doesn't properly display that tag has always baffled me, too... I just knew that it did this, so I figured that could be an explanation for your confirmation of his (uncredited) 'Con Air' appearance. But why? Beats me. I'd guess it's just some sort of oversight on Ken's part - I sure don't expect it to be intentional. Note that it neglects to show ANY tags - meaning the (voice)-tag doesn't show up there either... |
