I have custom collections for Blu-ray, HD DVD, TV and Removed (for movies I no longer have, but want to keep a record of).

My Owned looks great.  My Blu-ray collection only has 1 title.  The app tells me I have 114 total, but only 1 displays.  Same with the other categories.  I have 70 HD DVD and 249 in TV, but both are completely blank.

I did grab the app just after it was released last night and haven't had much chance to play with it yet.  So I could just be missing something I guess.  I'll play with it more later.

Things I have tried so far include clearing the filters, database repair, setting up and syncing a new database. But none of those seem to have helped at all.  Anything else I can try?  Later I plan to set those collections to not display on owned to see if that helps.

I have noticed a number of crashes as well.  One was trying to drill down into a box set from Simple layout (cover images without the shelves).  It not only crashed, but it continued to crash every time I loaded the program.  Even after killing it from the multi-tasking bar.  Had to eventually reboot the phone.  It seemed to remember where I was and kept trying to return me to that spot every time the app started I think.  I'll play more later to see if I can re-create the issue.

What view are you viewing the DVDs with? Does it change if you switch the view? (switch from thumbnail to the list view for example)

I've tried every view.  I tried changing the sort options (I leave it set generally to alphabetical sort on Title).  I tried the filters.  Nothing seems to help.

Of course I also have a strange setup.  Back before custom collections, I had a box set call HD.  That had two child profiles called Blu-ray and HD DVD.  Those two profiles had all my Blu-rays and HD DVDs assigned as child profiles.  I got the custom collections setup fine, but never undid that profile - child profile - grandchild profile setup.  So I plan to try that tonight to see if it helps.  Or perhaps telling those collections not to display in the Owned collection.  I'm going to try playing with that later.  What's interesting is that folder structure works just fine in my Owned collection.  I can see everything just fine there.

The strange thing is I have a single profile that shows up under my Blu-ray collection.  But as far as I can tell, there's no difference between that one and the other 139 profiles that should be displaying.  And it's also the only one that doesn't display in my Owned collection.  So I think that's a big clue to figuring this out later.

Anyway, I'll play more later and report my findings back at some point.  Thanks Geri!

I figured this one out.  I think I explained before custom collections came along, I had a profile called HD with Children profiles called HD DVD and Blu-ray.  Under those two I added my HD movies to the appropriate spot.  After the custom collections came, I just left things that way.  And that was the problem.  My HD folder and it's two children are part of my owned collection.  So the movies they contained showed up under owned.  The one odd profile I had wasn't assigned to the Blu-ray profile, so it showed up fine.

So I'm not sure if that's a bug or not.  But I got my answer and finally got things cleaned up.  So it was a win for me.

It worked fine for me from the get go (I have two custom collection, one with items only in the custom collection and another one whose items show up in the main collection as well), everything showed up properly in the top level screen.
