| Posted: | | | | 3.6 my "Cue:Cat Bar Code Scanner" worked. Installed tne new Version: 3.7.0 (Build 1426) "Cue:Cat Bar Code Scanner" does not read the bar codes correctly? Is there some filter/add-on I need to install for 3.7?
Running: Windows Vista Home 32bit w/all current updates.

Rory Update.. It will work if I am only adding one new disc.. but if I try adding a second or more the data from the Cue:Cat is not read correctly.. If I shut down DVDP3.7 and restart it will read once.. ?? :David | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... "Time spent with cats is never wasted." - Sigmund Freud |

Rory All I know that that the version of 3.6 I have still installed the Cue:Cat works (single or multi disc input) and the 3.7 will only allow for a single disc input... its almost as if the area of memory that converts the bar code read is not being cleared before/when a second disc is scanned?? Example: Cue:Cat is sending the following string per a note pad capture: .c3Nzc3Nzc3N2cHB7cHN0dXNy.FhMC.c3J3cHtydXV3enZ6. DVDP3.7 is converting this string to: 381664 : dropping the first three and last three numbers or is not converting at all? The UPC reads: 014381664959 (For movie "Shadow Of The Moon" on Blu-Ray) :David : S:: My USB Cue:Cat has not been "Neuter" as it was never needed in the past. | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... | Posted: | | | | In trying to "Neuter" my Cue:Cat so it would would work with DVDP3.7.... As this seems to of been the trouble due to encryption on the device... I ""Fried"" my USB Cue:Cat trying to pry pin#5 and also broke pin#6 in the process.. So does anybody here have an extra Cue:Cat... As many years ago I gave fellow DVDP users (I even paid the shipping) several that I had picked up from my local ''Radio Shack'' stores when they were giving them away... :David | | | Growing older is mandatory...Growing up is optional... | Posted: | | | | I'm sorry to hear that you killed your Cat . My laptop runs Vista Home Premium 64 bit and I just tested Add Multiple in DVD Profiler 3.7 and was able to add 10 titles in a row without a problem. I wish I had an extra Cat to send you. I know how rare they are these days. You might try getting another from www.cuecats.com . They're not affiliated with the now defunct Digital:Convergence Corporation. They sell for $8.99 via PayPal. I'd contact them first though to see if they're still in business. Good luck. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

Do you know how to modify it so that it doesn't do the original crap it was designed to do? EDIT: I found the declaw instructions on the net. Cut the pin with side cutters. I then neutered the cat by putting +5 to the R29 VIA. When I stick the cat against a DVD and swipe the UPC, I get crap. I don't get a long list of garbage, but some text. I'm testing it via my Unix computer, using an Xterm window. As I understand it, the output is supposed to be text. Well, it kinda is, but garbage. When I tried it with DVDP (the keyboard is attached to 4 computers via a KVM), adding a new DVD brought up a page of a bunch of things to add. Obviously wrong. I guess my cat is sick. | | | Mr Video Productions If it isn't Unix, it isn't an OS :-) | | | Last edited: by MrVideo |
