| Posted: | | | | Some days ago a user asked me if a BluRay with a DVD as Bonus Disc also qualifies for marking as Media Combo in DVDP. (Media type: BluRay+DVD) I always thought we make it as Media Combo just if the Movie is on more than one type of media. The only thing I could found in the rules about this is (but it is regarding making a Box Set and not about the to mark media types): Quote: Sets containing the same film on multiple media types (such as a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack) are to be entered as a normal profile for the main media type (Blu-ray in this example), with all included media types checked. A combo which includes HD media (HD-DVD, Blu-ray) as well as DVD should use the details from the HD media in the main profile. However, you may add an additional profile by Disc ID for the DVD content and add this profile to the Box Set contents for the Blu-ray profile. So, what are your opinions? | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

| Posted: | | | | When you say a Bonus Disc are you saying it's a store exclusive?
If so, then no. since not all copies would come with that bonus dvd.
But if it's just a standard bonus dvd that comes packed with a Blu-Ray (or vice-versa) then yes it qualifies as a Media Combo and both Blu-ray & DVD would be checked. |

| Posted: | | | | I don't think it qualifies as the standard bonus dvds are almost always (except box-sets) entered as Bonus Disc within the main profile and so usually don't get an extra profile... |

Standard Bonus DVD with the extras. (Featurettes, ...) That's not a combo, no. |

If it had the movie (that's included on the main Blu-ray) on the DVD, it would. The Evil Dead "Limited Edition" Blu-ray release (013132-146690) is a good example of this. It comes with a Bonus DVD, but it's all bonus features on the disc. No Movie/No Combo there. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I misunderstood what was meant by Bonus DVD. If it's just extras then no it doesn't qualify as a combo pack |
