Wasn't able to find this topic specifically, so please bare with me if already covered.
The rules state not to add additional content for a re-release with the same UPC, but how about the same content released under a new UPC? Is that contributable???
If it is, how do I handle my second hurdle that the re-release UPC is already in use for a completely other movie?
BTW: This is in regards to the danish release of the Per Fly Trliogi box re-released with UPC 5-706710-007708 printed on the box (and 5-700773-302497 on the shrink wrap)
Best Regards

As Tim Said... it is contributable. But if the UPC is already used for another movie you can't use that UPC (figuring on the other is also correct). The only other way to do it is through disc ID... you would have to add it by putting the disc in your drive and adding it that way. Not saying it is... as releases with the same UPC does happen... but be sure what you have is indeed a new UPC... and not a bootleg disc. | | | Pete |

Sometimes because of printing mistakes (using the same UPC) they just use a sticker on the shrink wrap to correct their mistake. | | | Are you local? I have been informed in the past that stickers outside the shrink wrap is not a valid source for the UPC/EAN. Shouldn't be a bootleg - it's bought through one of the larger retailstores in DK. It's a box set so no new disc ID to submit. The discs contained have the same IDs as the original release. Think I'll just take this as one of lifes small mysteries since i also understood that UPC on shrinkwrap was not to be contributed. |
