From rules:
Quote:
For branching titles, or those with multiple versions (e.g. Theatrical and Director's Cut) on the same disc, use the longest running time.

Should then the parent profiles RT be the sum of the extended/director's cut, and should the audiotracks be listed as encoded with the extended/director's cut? In this case (Alien anthology) has different audiotracks in the theatrical and extended/directors cut. Should the profiles be profiled as in the directors/extended versions?

The runtime should be longest one, not an addition of both. e.g.:
Theatrical: 109 min
Director's Cut: 101 min
Then we enter 109 min

As for audiotracks, I'm not sure but I think we enter all audio tracks encoded on the disc, accessible by menu or remote control button pushes, regardless of which cut they belong to. But I'm not sure so perhaps someone can confirm or correct?

By the way, I also got the set this weekend and it blows every single previous version out of the water. Never have I seen Alien with so much detail and great surround sound. Next week: Aliens!

I'm pretty sure in cases like this we make a list of all the audio avaiable, but that doesn't mean list DTS-MHD twice, just list all the different tracks from each version with the shared ones first.

I've watched the first 2 films on BD and both are nothing short of amazing. If you thought Alien never looked better (which is hasn't), wait til you see Aliens clearly for the first time!

Nothing of substance to add to this topic but wanted to concur that this set is well worth owning. Easily the best Blu-ray set I have in my collection.

I have to agree that this set is worth having. I've watched the first 3 films and mind I've never cared for the the 3rd one, this set changed my opinion on the 3rd one. It is nothing short of amazing.
