Had a thought about how to have more than one profile for the same EAN/Disc ID but I'm not sure it can be done?

So when you create a child profile profiler would add extra numbers to the end of the EAN/Disc ID (Last 3 digits of the parents EAN?) and the child profiles would be locked to the parent and would only be able to be downloaded to the parent (can't be downloaded separately) i think this would also mean a change to the programme so child profiles could be created/added within the parent profile. This would allow child profiles to be tailored to the parent where disc's are release in different sets also when disc's are released in a box set first and the subsequently given a stand alone release the individual release could then have it's own release date and SRP

Be gentle with me i know nothing about programming and am not sure i have explained this properly or even if it can be done

The idea is not bad.

I don't know if I ever suggested, but I would go further. I would like to see it possible to make different profiles to one EAN/UPC or Disc Id.

Internal the identifier could be treated with something like this.
EAN/UPC.V1
Disc Id.V1
For further profiles the version gets always a number higher: ...V2, ...

The user should be able to choose "make a new version", if the profile in database isn't matching to the version he/she owns.

After an upload there are two profiles for the specified EAN/UPC or Disc Id in database. At an addition over UPC/Disc Id the program gives the choice which should be downloaded, similar to an UPC which is with different localities in database.

With this it would be possible to track re-releases, child profiles used in different box sets, different movies with same EAN/UPC.
