| | Posted: | | | | I just got a DVD Today (Trick 'r Treat UPC: 085391176190) And it has Commentary checked off. There is no Commentary on this movie. But what there is... there's an Animated Short (Trick 'r Treat: Season's Greetings)... and this animated Short has an optional commentary on it.
My initial thinking is that the commentary check box should not be checked.... as I believe most people (I know I do) would think if this is checked the movie itself has a commentary. Unfortunately the rules do not make this distinction.
In Other Features It lists the Animated Short. So my thinking is to remove the Commentary checkbox and changing Animated Short to Animated Short: Season's Greetings with optional Commentary.
What do you all think? This sound right? Should I submit such a thing or should I keep it local only? | | | | Pete |

Similarly, I have at least two dozen DVD's where the film has no commentary, but the deleted scenes do have a bit of director's commentary (explaining why the scenes weren't included in the final film). That would, in my opinion, indeed be the only way to mention this in the profile, while not giving the impression that the actual main feature has a commentary.
