| Posted: | | | | I removed the old .net framework kit (3.5) from my PC a few days ago and installed the new version (4.0) And now DVDPro starts with this error message twice |

| Posted: | | | | Muckl is correct. .NET versions are side-by-side installation compatible.
There are four essential versions: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0-3.5 and 4.0
I don't think there are still apps that need 1.0 or 1.1. And 3.5 is basically an extension of 2.0. The same framework, just more libraries.
You should re-install 3.5. You don't need to uninstall 4.0 before, it's not that kind of a DLL hell anymore. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I hope they'll fix it. |

I hope they'll fix it. I think you might have misunderstood Muckl and DJ Doena. You can keep 4.0, but you also need 3.5. They can both be installed with no problems. It will not downgrade your system. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

I hope they'll fix it. As others have tried to explain, it's not an issue of downgrading. 3.5 and 4.0 will co-exist perfectly, and some applications will need 3.5 and others 4.0. |

EDIT: or does it just show the error message but otherwise it runs fine? Prices for 2TB drives are at 100 € currently... "wasting" space has never been so cheap! | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

Even with my relative expensive SSD's I'll happily pay the hard disk price to avoid programs crashing left and right. I am quite surprised someone would actually prefer having more crashes to save on the used HDD space. | | | Regards Lars |
