| Posted: | | | | I have not used DVD Profiler in a long time, so was surprised when I did a profile refresh and discovered a new feature called "child profiles", several of which were added to my collection.
The purpose of firing up DVD Profiler was to add a new DVD to my collection which contained two movies and, I discovered, was not in the profiles catalog, so I went about creating a profile. My dilemma is that I have no idea how exactly to create a child format, which I would need to catalog these DVDs since they both have different cast members, etc.
Can someone explain to me exactly how to create parent and (more importantly) child profiles? Yes, I tried using the forum search, but it always times out on me.
Sorry if this is an elementary question, but I've not been able to find any clue in any posts I have found except "do it manually", which doesn't help.
Thanks for any replies.
EDIT: Sorry, I already know how to create profiles, just need advice on creating child profiles or perhaps making a profile a child of another. Thanks. | | | Last edited: by dovey |

| Posted: | | | | I have no parent/child profiles in my collection, so I'm not sure of what I write, but I think you have to create your child profiles as if they were alone, then create the parent profile. Then you edit the parent profile and in Boxset Contents, you assign the two child profiles you have created. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | Perfect, thank you. It makes sense now. I saw the box set contents section, but was not sure how that worked.
Thanks so much. |
