Why aren't there any titles showing in my 'Recent Purchases' section?

And why does my profile show that I have 1,470 titles and 0 owned?  Does this have something to do with 'custom catagories'?

Looks like somehow your whole online collection is gone. Try uploading your collection again?

I just uploaded an empty collection, to reset the online, and am in the process of uploading my collection again, to see if that might have been the problem.

Well, that didn't fix it...still no 'Recent Purchases' and still 0 owned.

That is definitely odd. I see your collection now. But nothing on your profile page. I think if I was you I would open a support ticket on it.

It's been that way for me ever since I started using custom collection categories.

Just in case it helps Ken with his troubleshooting, here's how I've got it configured:

I have five custom collection categories:

Movies
Documentary
TV
Shorts
Other

Whenever I add a new DVD to my database I select to have it placed in one of the above categories, but each of these categories have all three Category Options checked off in the Tools->Edit Collection Categories window. Those category options are: Collection Numbers, Purchase Data, Include contents in owned collection.

I've selected to hide the built-in categories of Owned, Ordered and Wish Lists.

I have my collection numbers set to Globally Unique
Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS!
Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles.
You've got questions? You've got answers? Take the DVD Profiler Wiki for a spin.

Yeah, it'll show this way if you're using custom collections.

I only use one in my local. A separate custom for Blu-rays (since I only started buying blu-ray, I like to know how many I'm up to at the moment).

Those profile are not reflected in the Owned Number.

The number I have for Total DVDs is 2378. The number I have for owned is 2226. The number I have for wishlist is 67.

2226(owned)+67(wishlist)=2293.
2378(total dvds)-2293(owned +wishlist)=85

85 is the number of blu-ray profiles I own in the custom category in my local. So 85 blu-ray profiles that I apparently don't own, but are included in the total number of dvds I do own...

I did ask awhile ago that this could be updated and that owned could include such things as custom categories if you so choose, and that the recent purchases section on a member's page could also include custom categories. My recent purchases barely reflect my actual recent purchases at all because it doesn't include my custom category.

It would be nice if this could be updated. Maybe have an option where if you so choose, a custom category won't be included (like for people that track their cd's or records with the program) but other than that, I think the only different between Total DVDs and owned should be your wishlist, and maybe ordered (and if you choose to have a custom category opted out).
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

What confuses me is this, I look at James' profile...he only has 2 owned items, yet has 5 Recent Purchases.

So I got a reply to my support ticket.  The 'Recent Purchases' pulls only from the Owned category.  If something is in a custom category, it will not show under recent purchases...even if you have the "Include contents in owned collection" box checked.

Seems odd to me, but there it is.
