I am having problems with my database of 1800 DVDs  It is responding very slowly to anything e.g. scrolling down list or opening ordered tab etc.  Quite often it will come up with Invelos Not Responding although this goes after 5 - 10 seconds.  I have tried a database repair but nothing seems to work.  Any help would be great.

I lot of things to consider:
I have a dual 64 bit pc using Windows 7, three 250Gb drives. 20 GB internet interface.
I have almost 14,000 profiles, not all of them show on the on-line db, as some are in the auxiliary list.
What operating system are using?
What other programs are running, foreground and background?
What is you disc serial or parallel?
my current pc has the serieal SATA disc interface and if I'm doing anything else it slows things down
Was the computer idle when started the DVD profiler?
When my pc has been idle it seems to some time to get things going, I have a tendency to start every thing at once email, profiler, browser and this slows starting the DVD profiler down a bit.
best case starting from scratch about a minute.
If the pc is busy some times I get Not Responding, for several seonds, and it does p.me off, especially if the virus checker is scanning or a program is updating.

Do you have older versions of DVDP plug-ins running? Try holding down the Alt key immediately after starting DVDP and when prompted, start a Diagnostic Start-up without running plugins and see if the programme is still slow. If it isn't, one of your plug-ins might be the culprit. Try uninstalling them one by one to find out which one and/or look in the Plug-ins forum to see if more recent versions are available.
