| Posted: | | | | I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the Website forum, but I thought with us now having custom roles, and people listing their audited profiles in the forums, that it would be nice to have a download option for these profiles. So say as an example you were looking at someone's online collection and you liked the way they'd done a particular profile, then at the bottom of the page there would be a "download profile" button and you can simply download it and update your own profile. Of course, it would come with an option to make your profiles private so people can't download them, but I think it would be a great way of sharing profiles. I'm guessing the links could also be added to forum posts etc. |

| Posted: | | | | I think this gets hard, because such things as custom roles are only local, so you would have to download it from other users PC. (And I wouldn't allow this ) And for those things that are online, you can download the audited profiles. (Hopeing there was no bad change since the audit) But I think there is a way to share single profiles. Never tried, so no idea how it works. Perhaps the instruction is in the "manual profiles" thread. |

| Posted: | | | | I like this idea. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

But I think there is a way to share single profiles. Never tried, so no idea how it works. Perhaps the instruction is in the "manual profiles" thread. You can easily share single profiles by making a backup of a single profile, send it as an email attachment, and doing a partial restore. | | | Hans |

Ok, then the feature request also gets a Edit: And Thanks Staid S Barr for the explanation of the manual sharing of profiles. | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

| Posted: | | | | In that case it would be great if a user's profile showed their own cover scans rather than the generic ones. That would go some way to solve the issue of modified covers for re-releases. | | | Hans |
