| Posted: | | | | I want to fill in gaps and eliminate duplicates, but I don't want it to re-order by title, sale date or release date first. I want to basically keep the order I have when eliminating gaps and duplicates. There doesn't seem to be a way to de-select that portion of the menu. Does that section ONLY work when re-assigning ALL collection #'s or does it work with a partial assignment also.
TIA |

When I do a partial, to eliminate gaps, I always end up with '0' numbers changed. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | posting from memory so most likely wrong.
Isn't there an option to renumber above/below a certain number. Seems like I have renumbered everything 999 and below while leaving 1000+ untouched. | | | Last edited: by Kobeck |

It only works when you reassign the entire collection. I do partial reassignments whenever I sell or give away a movie (which lately is somewhat frequently) and it works fine every time. I select "Partial reassignment" and then check off "Eliminate gaps" and uncheck "Eliminate duplicates" and "Assign number where blank" and "Assign where set to "None"" | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS!
