| Posted: | | | | Hello to everybody.
I don't understand why the "view trailer" button is disabled for some movie. How can I make it available?
Thank you very much. Paolo. |

| Posted: | | | | There has to be a trailer attached to the profile. Click here and check which links got attached to your profiles. If a trailer is missing feel free to submit one | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Even if there is no trailer the button should work. I can click that button to do a search on youtube for the trailer (you can only use Youtube trailers at this time). The only time the button don't work for me is when it is a manual profile. As there is no link page for manual profiles.
I asked Ken when he added this to somehow make it so you can link to the trailers within the program itself for manual profiles or if you don't want the particular trailer used online. He said it was a good idea and would work on it... but it never made it in the last version... so hopefully it will be there in the next one. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | If I have seen this correct, the button just works with profiles that are in online database. So everytime it is greyed out, the profile is not in online database. (Doesn't have to be automatically an manual profile) Quote: I asked Ken when he added this to somehow make it so you can link to the trailers within the program itself for manual profiles or if you don't want the particular trailer used online. But I also like that we can add the links over this integrated buttons and don't have to go over the link Silence provided. | | | Last edited: by VirusPil |

I think it would be nice that this feature could be a written in a field of the local database. So each user could choose the trailer that he prefers (in the case of more than one trailer for the same movie) or also, in alternative, a particular scene for the movie.

Paolo. People are doing this in a number of ways today in lieu of a specific "trailer" field. Apologies if you know this already, but the ways that I use the most are: (1) HTML sections that access trailer URLs from the Notes field. (2) LoadDVD and LoadDVD Pro plugins (I wrote) that allow you to do almost anything with digital media paths / URLs, including trailers. Between those two methods, I haven't seen any requests yet for a feature that they couldn't handle. In fact, the simplest way is to to turn on Notes HTML and type the URLs directly into the Notes field. Just click on whichever one you want at any time. | | | Thanks for your support. In your opinion, if i directly put the "embed object" code for Youtube video (instead the link at the url) in the HTML section of the note field for each record, the database can become too heavy and can decrease the performance?

Paolo. That's actually pretty cool and "works a treat" (I like that phrase ....). Embed code is only about a "twitterful" of text, so it should not be a database problem IMHO. The video itself of course is not actually in the database, just a few bytes of text that compresses down to nearly nothing. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
