| | Posted: | | | | I thought something was odd when I noticed #351 was missing from my online collection (close to the top of 367 DVDs) so I went through the whole collection and noticed #24, 34, 47, 49, 50, 59, 64, 74, 86, 109, 116, 119, 145, 150, 219, 231, 321, as well as 351 are missing from my online collection.
How can I remedy this? I'd like my online collection to coincide with my DVD Profiler database.

I realize it's an Extended Edition DVD, but I don't believe it's Unrated (Disney). Edit: Apparently, DVD Profiler thinks Chronicles Of Narnia, at least the Extended Edition, is Unrated. | | Posted: | | | | It is extended version... which means it is not the rated version but the unrated version. Really has little to do with content. From the rules explaining it.. Quote:
* For localities which offer it as a choice, enter "Unrated" for DVDs which:
o Contain an alternate version of a film which received a theatrical rating, and which have no rating or are marked "NR" or "Not Rated"
o OR include "Unrated" on the front or back cover of the case
* Use "NR" for DVDs which do not qualify for the "Unrated" rating, and which have no rating or are marked "NR" or "Not Rated"
* Use the “Adult” rating for all Adult films.
For DVDs with more than one rating shown (e.g. a DVD which includes an R and Unrated version), use the highest applicable rating with the following scale:

My concern wasn't necessarily for the way in which films are rated or the way in which DVD Profiler reports those ratings, but more for the way in which DVD Profiler seems to place Unrated movies in the 'Adult' category as far as the online list is concerned. Now that I am aware of it, I've just checked everything in Options and my list is fine now. And Ken chose to put both Unrated and Adult to age 18... when he already had that age to not show online because of porn. I think the only way he could fix this is to change the age limit for one or the other... either set Adult to higher then 18 or set Unrated to something like 17.
But as you said... just checking the box works for now. Except for people that want to hide the porn titles but not the Unrated titles. Of course there is a work around for that too... they can always set their porn titles to not show in the online version through the program itself. | | | | Pete |
