I have those 4 variants of him in my local.  What's with this guy?!  Anywho, let's find a common name for Mr. Cox. CLT results are skewed because of the Ronny Cox, actor, of Beverly Hills Cop fame.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0185230/

Ron Cox: 5 confirmed
Futurama: Season/Volume 1
The Simpsons: Season 8, Eps. 23-25 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 9, eps. 1,2,4-8,10,12-18,20-22,24,25 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 10 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 11 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 12 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 20 (by me)

Ronald Cox: 11 confirmed
Futurama: Season/Volume 1
King of the Hill: Season 2 (by Muckl)
King of the Hill: Season 3 (by Muckl)
King of the Hill: Season 4 (by Muckl)
King of the Hill: Season 5 (by Muckl)
King of the Hill: Season 6 (by Muckl)
The Simpsons: Season 3 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 4, eps. 1-12 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 6, eps. 11,21,23-25 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 7 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 8, eps. 1-20 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 9, eps. 3,19 (by me)

Ronnie Cox: 1 confirmed
Family Guy: Volume 1, ep. 1 (by me)

Ronny Cox: 4 confirmed
King of the Hill: Season 1 (by Muckl)
The Simpsons: Season 4, eps. 18-20 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 5 (by me)
The Simpsons: Season 6, eps. 1-10,12-20,22 (by me)
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Master & Commander -> Ron Cox (ADR Mixer) INVALID !
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Some of Ronny Cox's Simpsons "collections" below may seem redundant, but each counts as 1 title.

No, they don't: the same credits shouldn't be counted multiple times.

Then how would we count the credits?

In Seasons 8 & 9 he's credited as both Ron Cox and Ronald Cox.
In Seasons 4 & 6 he's credited as both Ronald Cox and Ronny Cox.

Which one would we choose to use as the credit for those?

I've always seen it as one season counts as one credit. If someone is credited one way in Season 6 of The Simpsons, and then credited a different way in Season 7, each one of those should count towards that specific credit. I know others feel like an entire series should count as one credit, and I have no problem with that (it'd be nice to get "official" clarification, have we ever gotten that?), but what do we do if the credits vary by season to season, such as they do here? Discount one credit over the other? And even more, what do we do if they vary within the same season? Again, discount one credit over the other? They each kind of have to count as a specific credit, don't they?

We can't say in one case "Well, he's credited the same all the way through 5 seasons, so it's one credit" and in another case say "Well, he's credited differently through-out 5 seasons, so it has to count as multiple credits".

This issue with the CLT makes my head hurt...
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.

I would also count them twice if he is credited different within a season (Title).
I think for a complete season it's actually easy.
But what to do with Half-Seasons. We are supposed to count the Titles for Common Name Issues and for DVD Profiler this are two Titles, because we include the Season Indicators in the Title. Would e. g. Battlestar Galactica: Season 2.1 & Battlestar Galactica: Season 2.2 be two Titles, or just one?

This wasn't even about that. It's an interesting issue as well, but in this case, I merely replied to huskersports remark about the "collections": 'The Simpsons: Backstage Pass', 'The Simpsons: Risky Business', and so on. Those are compilation discs with a couple of random (taken from throughout the show's run) episodes revolving around the same theme. There's nothing new on there - just a few episodes that are also on the season sets. Per Ken, we're looking for the name variant that a person is mostly credited as. For that, it doesn't matter whether that credit is packaged under the name 'The Simpsons: Season 3', or 'The Simpsons: Back Stage Pass' - it's still the same credit. Again, we're looking for the most-credited form of someone's name, not for the odd credit that is being made available under the largest number of titles. As such, inclusions of the same episodes on all kind of compilation discs shouldn't count multiple times: it's one and the same credit.

Certainly not two, IMHO: again, common names should be based on packaging or the way the distributor is trying to sell the show to us. Packaging or marketing decisions shouldn't decide what someone's common name is, as those things have nothing to do with the actual credits - and a person's actual credits, that's where we base our common names on.

IMHO this is something Ken has to clarify because the rules leave it open. I would say that 1 season 1 credit - unless he is credited with different names within the season, than each variant counts once.

I would prefer episode profiles where each episode counts as one title but since we cannot do this the next best thing is 1 season 1 title.
Problem is of course how to do it for CLT purposes since titles like the mentioned BG 2.1 & 2.2 would appear as 2 titles, the same as collections of episodes like "Buffy - Best of Spike" which IMHO shouldn't be counted at all.
One solution for this would be an extra field just for CLT counting for the name of the season, so BG 2.1 would be BG Season 2, coupled with a checkbox for "No CLT Count" for things "Buffy - Best of Spike".
Or enable episode profiling

Anyway, just my 2c

Uwe

Aaahh! Gotcha! Totally misunderstood what was being said.

In that case then I actually agree with you.

That does make sense.  People with those titles will have to check which episode and season Cox is credited as, and make any changes accordingly.  Example: if an episode on Simpsons: Risky Business is a Season 5 episode and credited as Ron Cox but the common name is Ronald Cox, he/she will have to make the change to Ronald Cox (Ron Cox).
