Is there a "FAQ" or "HOW TO" that I can not for setting up a "database sharing" computer?

Since it looked as if it will be a while before the iPod version of "DVDProfiler" gets released I purchased a referbed netbook ($150.00 shipping paid!) to have in my "TV / MEDIA" room for quick net look ups and I would like to install the 'CLIENT' version of "DVDProfiler" on this machine.

Also I know I may have screen troubles as the screen size while is nice... it is only 1024 X 680 ...not the recomended size of 1024X720.

The easy way for this would be the built in variant:

Install DVDProfiler on your netbook
On your main machine open DVDProfiler and go to menu "Tools -> Options -> Shared" and enable "Sharing".
For your purposes the default setting should suffice.

On your netbook open DVDProfiler and go to menu "File -> Open Database ..."
Click on the button "Shared database" and enter the required information:
Database name (if not changed by user): Default
Hostname / IP-adress: These are depending on your LAN settings, if your main machine has a fixed IP-adress, I'd use this, in all other cases use the Hostname.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

To find the host name and/or IP, check the bottom of the DVD Profiler window on the main computer after you enable sharing.

PS:  I was able to re-size most of the content windows.. with one exception.. don't remember the windows name in DVDProfiler.. I will call it the 'General / Release Date' window.. could not reduce the height/width with out it clipping the icons at the bottom and text on the right side.. where it should of added a scroll bar or wrapped the info.
Wish list: I wish there was a server side which did not require the full DVDProfiler running on the ""Main"" system to free some resources.
<-- I guess I should post this else where?

Ken since I started this topic about "database Sharing" I thought that I would post my question / comment here.

I seemed to of found a bug??  Or better named ''LEAK'' as since I have been running DVDP as a server for my netbook.. I have noticed that I now have a "MEMORY LEAK" or about 25mb per hour (best estimate) on my main PC system.

I have left my main system on with DVDP running for 72 hours {three days} and it went from 2gb free {on a system with 4gb installed and normally 2500mb free after everything loads.} to less than 75mb left and low memory warnings on my screen.

Before this week I had not had a memory leak and have left other programs running with out troubles for days/weeks such as MSIE8 and iTunes which I share with my wife's laptop (and now also my net book)

When trying to directly address the developer it's probably better to open a support ticket.
