| Posted: | | | | Hello I'm a newbie with DVD profiler so please bear with me. Eventually I'll upgrade but I have two questions. I had a bad experience with another (AMM) movie collection software After paying for the upgrade all new upgrades cost more money. If I upgrade DVD Profiler later down the road will I have to pay for every new version or is it a one time upgrade? Also, How do I backup my collection to disc (C D)? Thanks very much. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the quick reply. Can I take the backup file and build it on ImageBurn or do I need to make a ISO and then burn it? I was able to do it with AMM but can't remember how. Thanks |

You can burn it onto a CD/DVD with any Burn program you want. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

The backup file is a regular file like any other (a winword document, an avi video). You can burn it onto a CD/DVD with any Burn program you want. wouldn't the backup be a .dpb file which in turn means you still need profiler to open it up and view? .. I would suggest to him to take that file and backup it on a rewritable cd (700MB) or a DVD 4.7 GB or better still a memory stick.. up to many GB in size.. Or a partitioned harddrive works just as well and is readily accessable at all times.. I'm under the impression looking at his post that he would like to have all his titles to view at once on another medium rather than Profiler.. of which I would suggest many of the 'coffee table ' layouts in Profiler that can be used along with the front artwork scan(s).... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
