| Posted: | | | | Seems like a simple request on the surface .. but need to find out: If I have most if not all of my profiles locked .. I then find out periodically that one of more of my areas needs updating but I may have it locked off and would never know unless I did a comparison of data side by side.. Can I not have Profiler check all my data and then supply me a list? I know this only occurs daily for New updates but what about older updates? I don't want to unlock my profiles as there are quite a few that I don't want changed so I just lock 'almost' everything off except for ratings/ cast and crew .. all others are locked. .yet I'm always finding a newer Over view , or a better scan.. But would like to see a 'comprehensive update check' that can view and report any or all changes ready to go if I allow.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Yet I Know ( because of my locked profiles) I have profiles that are out of date .. Like I' ll find a dvd that a different OAR than the one I have ( 1.85 over 1.77 ) and I'll update it for a new contribution only to find it is already 1.77 in the data base from 8 months ago... Or an over view corrections for bold or italic print ,, only again to find it already updated . Yet I get that notice saying all your data is up to date when I refresh .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | Unfortunately the only way I know is on a profile-by-profile basis. Select a profile then ask to "Preview Changes" (right-click on the Update icon). This will download the online version and show you the differences. Just remember to click "Cancel" NOT "OK" otherwise your unlocked sections will be overwritten whether you wanted them to be or not.
There doesn't seem to be an option to do this en masse unfortunately, but at the very least if you're planning on editing a profile you can do a quick "preview" to see if there's any changes. |

Yes it appears that way.. I just thought maybe there was something I wasn't doing to get a 'mass update',.. Maybe by unlocking all my profiles and hopefully getting a screen up that enables you to use the radio buttons and 'pick and choose' your updates and each profile individually rather than them just being overwritten.. ( since the unlock would be employed).. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Clearly the button doesn't do what I thought it did. Seems odd though. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
