| Posted: | | | | I was having nothing but problems with the latest version, so I decided to uninstall the program and reinstall it. To reload my database I am trying to download my online database, however I am constantly getting an error during the download process. It says, "access violation at address 004041fc in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Read of address 851eb84a." I am at my wits end. | | | Last edited: by mistermoravec |

| Posted: | | | | Generally, it's always a good idea to reboot after uninstalling and installing a new software on Windows, although it's not always asked by the setup routine.
I also had problems before, so I wanted to be sure it worked this time. Here's what I did:
• backup of all database files and a backup via DVDP • uninstalled all plugins and then DVDP 3.5.1 • deleted leftover files in "C:\Programs Files\DVD Profiler", "C:\Documents and Settings\<WINDOWS USER>\Local Settings\Application Data" and "C:\Documents and Settings\<WINDOWS USER>\My Files\DVD Profiler" [for Vista/Win7 the paths are slightly different] • deleted all leftovers in the registry [give me a shout, if you need assistance with that – working with the registry can be quite dangerous...] • system reboot • installed DVDP 3.6.1 • a final system reboot.
Good luck!
EDIT: You first might want to open a support ticket, telling Invelos the exact error message and number. Perhaps they have a quick solution for that... | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

| Posted: | | | | I am glad it worked for you marlacerri, but I still couldn't get it to work. Thanks for the suggestion Muckl. I opened a support ticket with invelos. Here is his response:
This can occur if the uploaded collection contains one or more DVDs that are not in any collection type. If you have a local copy of your database that you can correct and re-upload, I can give you steps to correct the issue. If not, I can correct it here but in order to do so I'll need you to temporarily change your password and let me know so I can access the account.
I didn't have a local back up, so I am going with option b. |
