Then you correct data that are different if there are (I doubt about that), then change the EAN to manual in your local to be sure not to contribute in the future. You can't change to Manual though; once you give a disc an EAN or a Disc-ID the option is only to change to another one... unless I'm missing something! I like this way more, because you're more aware of what adding to the profile and you can leave the fields that are different out.
But, of course, the way you'll do it is personnel preference. |

Online profiles generally follow rules, so are a pain to correct : remove italic and bold in overviews, remove all non interesting crew credits (so most of them), audit and correct all cast to get correct linking and remove all the useless "credited as"...
