| Posted: | | | | My blu-ray "Casino Royale" was given with my blu-ray. It has no "EAN" code. How do I add to my collection? | | | To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems | | | Last edited: by nrsvsoia |

| Posted: | | | | You could 'add by title' or, the better choice, add by disc ID. Adding by disc ID, however, requires a Blu-ray drive in your computer. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Your only choice for now is to add by title and keep the info local (you can do a DVD -> Copy, DVD -> Paste to get the basic info from another profile of the same film) and keep an eye out for if/when someone with a BluRay drive adds it to the database. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | The easiest for you is to download the french profile EAN 3333299198668. Then you correct data that are different if there are (I doubt about that), then change the EAN to manual in your local to be sure not to contribute in the future. If you want more info in French, please send me a PM. | | | Images from movies |

You can't change to Manual though; once you give a disc an EAN or a Disc-ID the option is only to change to another one... unless I'm missing something! That's why I suggested copy and Paste for the contents (I fully agree with your choice of disc to copy from though!) | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Ah... that would be covered by "unless I'm missing something" , thanks very much for letting me know how to do this - where did you learn it from? | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Even if a change to manual profile wouldn't work, you could do the other way round. Making a new manual profile and copy all that's same to the new manual profile. (DVD -> Copy; DVD -> Paste)
I like this way more, because you're more aware of what adding to the profile and you can leave the fields that are different out.
But, of course, the way you'll do it is personnel preference. |

You forget a third way, which is the one I usually use: build the profile from scratch. Online profiles generally follow rules, so are a pain to correct : remove italic and bold in overviews, remove all non interesting crew credits (so most of them), audit and correct all cast to get correct linking and remove all the useless "credited as"... But, of course, all this is personal preference. | | | Images from movies |
