Sorry, no it's made for dvd's, not for games.
But look at Collectorz.com, you will find a video game collection program there.

You can profile all kinds of media (or even things) with the latest version, the keyword is "Custom Media Types" (menu "Tool" -> "Edit Media Types...").

Only the standard media types DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray are available for download and contributable to the Invelos main database, though. You can however share a profile via "File" -> "Create Profile File..." or import a .dvdprofiler file via double-click.

If you're willing to store the video games in a separate database, you can also edit the translation file for further customization:
• Download the Master Translation Source file and save it in the application folder (XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<WINDOWS USER NAME>\My Documents\DVD Profiler\translations; Vista/Win7: C:\Users\<WINDOWS USER NAME>\Documents\DVD Profiler\translations) as "VideoGames.dpt" e.g.
• Go to "Tools" -> "Options..." -> "System" tab -> inside the "Language" box choose "Master Translation Source" from the drop-down list and hit "Edit..."
• Enter "Video Games" in the field "Language Name"
• Add a translation for every string you want to change
• Click "Save" and then "OK"

I notice a common theme with all of your replies... snide and coarse with a dash of condescension. Admit it, you sit there all day, trolling these forums, eyes glittering, just waiting on opportunities to pounce....

Indeed, this was added in the last version.  to you for actually answering the question.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

You need to learn a sense of humor, If you had used the program as long as I have and seen as many of these "same' threads started over and over again by nearly every newcomer that shows up, you would laugh too. None of these suggestions are NEW, some of them were even made by myself TEN years ago, that ought to tell you something.

Learn to laugh, bud.

Prof.

My interpretation was not based on this reply of yours alone, but is in fact a culmination of snarky snippets I have observed from you throughout the forums in my time here as part of the Invelos community. You have always spoke with an air of superiority and a sense of entitlement that I believe is completely unnecessary. As you indicated to me in the PM you sent me, yes, I'm sure his question has been asked many times before by many other members. He may not have bothered to search the forums or, as has happened to me on most occasions, entered his search criteria only to have the search function timeout.... happens all the time.

Regardless of the reason for his query, which as it turns out was his very first forum post, instead of a polite helpful answer, or even a link to an earlier thread dealing with the subject, you mocked and laughed at him. Welcome to the forums!

As you said yourself... you too at one time asked these questions. Foolish or not, it was an innocent question that should not have been met with derision masked as humor. I don't think you'd like it either.

Again, this single reply or yours is a mere piss in the ocean of smartass comments you have made from the near 18,000 forum posts to your credit.... nor is it the first time it's been pointed out to you by someone other than myself.

Repeated questions by newcomers should be viewed as a positive... continued, ongoing interest in the product from an ever growing community. Not as ammunition for you to insert comments meant to point out their mistakes, or as you call it, 'humor', at their expense.

I'll learn to laugh when you start resisting the urge to piss on peoples parades.

You can set up a pretty good game database if you take your time and use your imagination. You can import cover scans and game information from the internet and create some game related genres. It actually works pretty good.

I tried to post a screen shot for you so you had an idea of what you can do, but I have no where set up to store files to be able to post a photo here. I'b be happy to send you the file (jpg) if you want to see a screen shot of how I set mine up.

Good Luck,
Rick...

First, a big green for Kinky. And not just for the awesome user name.

Second, who was the person that uses DVDSpot for his/her wine collection? Anyone know the link to that page? That's a pretty damn awesome use of the software. Time consuming, probably, but pretty well put together.
