yesterday I created a new, clean database and restored my standard backup in it. Then I discovered that the new database doesn't have a number of files the old one has:
ACTORASSGN.DBK
ACTORASSGN.IBK
Actors.BBK
Actors.DBK
Actors.IBK
CastCrewCache.dod
COLLECTION.BBK
COLLECTION.DBK
COLLECTION.IBK
CreditsAssign.DBK
CreditsAssign.IBK
DirectProduce.BBK
DirectProduce.DBK
DirectProduce.IBK
DISCS.DBK
DISCS.IBK
Since these files take nearly 100 MBs of space I was wondering where they are coming from and if there's a need to keep them or if they are simply leftovers from the upgrade 3.5->3.6.
I simply deleted them and it doesn't seem to have an impact on the actual database... | | | Karsten

So yes, it seems like they where created during an update in the beta phase.

First install of 3.6 was with the RC-status, so probably Micha is correct and it came with build 1341 and is not needed anymore. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
