| Posted: | | | | You can "re-number your collection" after deleting a DVD, to close the "gap" beofre you add a new one.
Otherwise.....no. | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

| Posted: | | | | So I won't be a help, but why don't you want to use 177 if it's free again? (Sorry I'm just interested in it.)
I don't know a way to get a empty collection number re-used. Perhaps you can make an empty manual profile. Won't look good, but you've the number assigned, so it can't be re-used.
I always thought a way to leave some numbers free or re-assign from a defined starting number would be a good feature. But it's not included right now. |

sorry for my bad english Sure, I understand why you want to do this, but, unfortuantely, the only way to do it, is manually. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | I think you could make dummy manual profiles with the numbers you don't want used and keep them in the wishlist (or elsewhere if you want). | | | Last edited: by CalebAndCo |

I think a manual profile would be the best. Otherwise you've always to enter the number "by hand". And with the new custom collections you could make a list/collection for these unused numbers. And Shearer, I can understand your reasons and they make sense. (The only thing what speaks against is the waste of space, but if you have enough... ) |

Wishlist does not use collection numbers, but you could create a custom collection for these "fillers". | | | Hal |

On the Collection List right click on the bar next to All, Owned, Ordered, and Wishlist Select Other -> Edit Collection Categories in the new window that pops up select the Add button and name your new custom category, then have fun deciding on the various options for it. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | I use a similar setup to Sheaer (using numbered sleeves etc) and have been trying to find a workaround for this problem for a while now. I notice thatthere is a new "Count As" filed in latest version. I was hoping this might be a way to overcome the problem but it doesn't . Does anyone know what that new option actually does then? |

Does anyone know what that new option actually does then? that just affects the number shown in the Total DVDs count. If you have say the Spiderman Trilogy box set you can set the profile for the box to "Count As" 0 and the profiles for the movies to 1 (should be default) then your count will show Total DVDs 3 instead of 4. You could use location (and slot) to keep track of where the dvds are. It's a manual field (ie you would need to fill it in each time) but you can put whatever you want in it and there is one per disc so you could even have different locations for each disc in multi-disc profiles -Agrare |
