I have created a new category and defined it as "include contents in owned collection" and "Collection numbers unique within category". I moved a DVD from "owned" to the new category and it is listed in "owned" and in the new category. When I renumber the collection only in the new category the numbers in "owned" are also affected (even though I told the program to use collection numbers unique within category). Now I'm having double collection numbers in "owned" (one for "owned" and the same for the new category). Is there a way to fix this?

I have also noticed that the radio button used for changing "Collection numbers unique within category" and "Collection numbers globally unique" does not respond wen changing between the new categorys - could this be a bug?

If I understand you and the new feature correctly this doesn't sound like an error. If you say that you want to number each category seperately then you'll have one #1 DVD in Owned and one #1 DVD in the other category. Of course in your Owned list you have then two #1 DVDs.

That is correct - the problem is that the coll. nr. in the "owned" category was #3 and after renumbering the new category from #3 to #1 the number in "owned" changed from #3 to #1 as well.

That still sounds correct. I don't think the same mprofile can have two different numbers just because it is shown in two categories.

But then the whole "Collection numbers unique within category" makes no sense because the collection number is always the same for the "owned" category and the custom made category.

That you have to take up with the Great Maker.

I brought this up when the new version was still in early beta testing stages.

I wanted all my blu-ray profiles to be number 1-??? in my custom category of blu-ray, but to be numbered in their proper order in the owned category (therefore having two distinct numbers, one for each category).

I never got a response from Ken (he never responds to me... I don't think he likes me...  ) but was told from a few members this was probably how it was supposed to work.

Since the "problem" never seems to have been "fixed", it is apparently the way it's supposed to work. So I guess the collection numbers stay universal across the board or you end up with doubles in your owned category (which makes little to no sense to me).
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.
