What is the proper way to find the Media Company for older Paramount releases.

The case show the website - www.Paramount.com/HomeEntertainment
and there are also copyrights at the bottom showing Paramount pictures

Is either one of these right or is there another way.

I always put Paramount Home Entertainment if it shows that URL on the case.

Just make a notation in your notes about where the MC came from. I've always taken it from the URL as well. Older titles have it as Paramount Home Video before they changed over to Home Entertainment.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Paramount Pictures is an American film production and distribution company, located at 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California. Founded in 1912 and currently owned by media conglomerate Viacom, it is America's oldest existing film studio; it is also the last major film studio still headquartered in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. Paramount is consistently ranked as one of the top-grossing movie studios.  The first line says it all.  Quote "Paramount Pictures is an American film production and distribution company".  I do read distribution company.

You do read distribution company, but you are missing the word 'film' in that first sentence.  Paramount Pictures is a film distribution company, they are not a Video/DVD/Blu-ray distribution company.

If you had read the entire article, you would have come across the Paramount Home Entertainment section, which starts with:

Paramount Home Entertainment (formerly Paramount Home Video and Paramount Video) is the division of Paramount Pictures dealing with home video and was founded in late 1975.

PHE is the company we track under MC.

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
