Is there any chance for a tool to merge several studios to one? For me it looks, as if the studio field in the database has been enlarged during several updates. For example from the oldest to the newest version:

Buene Vista Ho
Buena Vista Home Ent
Buena Vista Home Entertainm
Buena Vista Home Entertainment

So normally I ought to check the list of studios again and again, filter the one with the wrong short version of the name and change the studio in all those profiles :-( And I am sure that everyone who has a load of more than 4000 profiles in his collection could imagine that this work is a horror :-(

Any idea how to handle this problem without spending endless hours on it?

I have tried it for about 30 studios - and spent nearly two weeks on it :-/

Quite easy (even though only with one studio at a time):

- Open the profile editor
- Click on the "Edit Studios"-icon
- Click on "Replace...". The first Studio you choose then is the one that gets replaced, the second is the one that replaces.

Hope that this is what you were looking for.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

keep in mind.. any studios you are currently using -that are one of the ones you want to fix/change- will remain so ..

edit:  update.. So I find Buena Vista Home Entertainm  in my studio list and deleted that name and it affected '40 odd' 'unnamed'of my titles..
So how is the best way again to update all the studios only for Invelos to check records against mine.. Wouldn't their records also reflect the named studio as Buena Vista Home Entertainm  as well??

Anyhow they would, but if you are searching for ALL DVD's of one studio, then three, four or more different names complicate the situation. It's the same like with actors if they are sometimes Paul Paulson, Jr. / Paul Paulson Jr. or Paul Paulson Junior

You know what I mean?
