How are people handling digital file copies of movies stored on hard disks?

I have the file location (device/disk) stored in the 'Location' field. (I would prefer to have it in the collection number field but it does seem to allow alpha)

When viewing the collection in list view thats fine because I display the location column next to the collection number column (which in those cases has no number.

The only downside is if I want to use thumbnail view because the location field is not instantly available. Its not on the 'hover' menu only the collection number is. To find the location I have to select the movie then goto the Formats box and click on the disks tab.

So all i am trying to do is find a way when browsing in thumbnail view, how to instantly see which disk the file is stored on. (I created a custom Media Type and Banner so I can see looking at the thumbnail that it is a file.) Being able to optionally put the Location field in the custom banner would be ideal for me but maybe I am a very small 'market' ;-)
