| Posted: | | | | [ Confirm box pop] comes up over the [ Internet Database Connection] box Unable to download file. Continue anyway? If this problem persists, please check your Internet connection.Running XP SP3, ADSL1 1500/256 with IPCop firewall. Have been using this combo for 3+ years through all versions of DVDProfiler since 2. I am having endless problems with this coming up when adding or refreshing DVDs. I have edited the hosts on my firewall, I have tried all that I know including turning ALL security off on my network. This comes up randomly, somethings things work fine sometimes it stops altogether. I am running the latest Beta, 3.6 bld 1341 but I was also getting this problem on earlier versions. I must be missing something obvious I'm happy for someone to point that out. Just need the collection re-built. | | | Last edited: by Leadstuff |

Try the following: - Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USERNAME>\Application Data\DVD Profiler_beta" - Delete or rename "OnlineList.dod" and "OnlineListSel.dod" - Start DVDP, click "Online" --> "Refresh Online Profile List" - Alternatively try entry #2 in the FAQJust remembered something else. In case the above doesn't work, this thread might help you (although it's been five months ago ). Good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed | | | 1.0.1, iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1.0

| Posted: | | | | Do you have a profile that you manually entered some random number for the UPC and then occasionally do a Refresh All? |

| Posted: | | | | If the mistake just comes at a few profiles: Try a database repair. Extras -> Options -> "Hilfsmittel" (Sorry, can't remember what's it in the English version) |

| Posted: | | | | Thank-you all, I have removed all instances of the dbase and profiler. Trashed all reg entries & blown the original dbase away. I bought a new scanner and have been busy rebuilding from scratch with bld 1341, up to 198 discs and no problems.... ("Hilfsmittel" sounds cooler, though.) . . . . . . . . . . . . Agree |
