| Posted: | | | | I have two separate databases which I would like to combine. I see I can do this by restoring one into the other but the collection numbers in each database starts at 1.
I would like to reassign the Collection Numbers of the database I am going to restore into the other database so that they start with a number that is higher than already used in the existing database. Is there anyway to do this (other than changing them all manually)?
Thanks NigelS |

| Posted: | | | | I don't think reassign collection number feature lets you choose the starting number to reassign but you may be able to do this with the bulk edit plugin. Head over to the plugin forums and there should be an official thread for that plug in that describes it's capabilities

| Posted: | | | | So, for anyone who's interested in doing this...
I used a feature in the BulkEdit plugin to Clear the Collection Number Assignments. I used the std Reassign Collection Numbers feature in DVD Profiler, selecting the option to not Number Below 300 (by adding "300" to the text box). This reassigned numbers starting at 300 and going upwards incrementing by 1.
Hope this helps anyone else wanting to do a similar task. | | | Last edited: by nrms |
