| Posted: | | | | Hi guys, I recently formated my computer and in the process forgot to grab my movie database backup file beforehand.
I did have my collection.xml file saved on another server and I am hoping there is a way to use it to restore my movie library in dvd profiler? I'd rather not enter 500+ movies again if I can avoid it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Geoff |

| Posted: | | | | Hi,
The BulkEdit plugin allows importation of Xml files and also the saving (Save after validation) into Profiler. I feel certain that someone more knowledgeable than I will provide a better answer. I've never needed to do this but it sure looks like it would be worth a try.

| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I didn't save it online here. I did the export of the collection.xml and used phpmyprofiler to put it online on my own server. I even did the backup database, but like I said, forgot to save that file before formatting my hard drive.
So I guess I'll look into this BulkEdit plugin or see if I can use my Collection.xml to somehow update online, and than download that.
Thanks guys, Geoff |

| Posted: | | | | Bulk Edit plugin worked!
First time it hiccuped when it reached 50 entries (I had not yet entered my registration key with new down load of dvd profiler) but after I enter my key and retried, it add all 536 entries. I then had to refresh updated profiles and re save a couple of images that were not in the invelos library.
I'm going to check out the invelos online storing as well now since it was mentioned below as a possible recovery point.
Thanks again guys, Geoff |

| Posted: | | | | Missed this thread earlier. It's nice to see an unanticipated benefit from the plugin, since it wasn't designed for "recovery." Anyway, it's too late to give greenies now, but kudos to those that helped. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. |
