| Posted: | | | | I recently upgraded my system and it came with VISTA. While using XP I had ActiveSync 4.5 installed and my Palm Treo 750 synced just fine. Now with VISTA, I am unable to sync. It keeps telling me it is unable to find the activesync software. I know it has probably been addressed elsewhere but not sure where. Please advise. |

| Posted: | | | | First Vista does not use active sync.
Second, I have been using vista 64bit for some time and never had any issues with it.
Good luck. |

| Posted: | | | | Got the latest version of Windows Device Center which is 6.1 and now not only do I still get the same 'Make sure activesync is installed and running' message, I now get a timed out message. Go figure. Just my luck. Still unable to sync to DVDProfiler Mobile. |

| Posted: | | | | There seems to be a problem in the "older versions" of the Palm Desktop. A quick search via Google showed that you're not the only one to have problems with synchronizing Palm and Vista. For downloading the latest versions and further help you might want to check here: http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/44532_en.html | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I'm using Vista 64 bit with Windows Device Center and an HP iPaq 2470. Everything works fine, active sync and DVDP mobile device uploads. I know Windows Device Center does not support the older Palm and Mobile Windows OS platforms. You may have to get a new(er) PDA device to stay mobile with DVDP in the Vista/Windows 7 environment. |
