Don't know that the number of films is relevant...the question is, how many DVDs do they put out?
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

If they produced a lot of film they will appear on dvd or blue-ray sooner or later. So it cost nothing to add it.

This will be relevant only if Nigerian films start appearing on DVD/Blu-ray in one or more DVDP localities.

As I already said in the this post http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=424075 from the general forum.

According to the CIA Fact Book these are the current industries:

Industries:
crude oil, coal, tin, columbite; palm oil, peanuts, cotton, rubber, wood; hides and skins, textiles, cement and other construction materials, food products, footwear, chemicals, fertilizer, printing, ceramics, steel, small commercial ship construction and repair

This doesn't mean they are not film producers but are not recognized as such.  Plus every time asked no one has been able to give an example of a Nigerian film much less one on DVD

Here's a few Nigerian movies available on Amazon:

August the First
Hurricane in the Rose Garden
Ezra
Occultic Wedding
Amina
Romantic Attraction
Desperate Ambition

Since you can't search on country of origin it was a little tricky to find those, and I'm sure there's plenty more out there. But point is, there are Nigerian movies on DVD, and since that country makes so many films it seems obvious to me that they should be added to the CoO list.

Of the films listed in the previous posts.  Exactly 1 appears in the database.  It is "August the First."  Therefor, in my opinion, there are more important things to work on then adding this country.  I say this because if they are not in the database it is not likely the community is rushing out to purchase them.

Based on my experience as a programmer, the country list is a lookup table most likely compromised of two fields - and integer valued used as a reference key and the text value (in this case Country).

Adding a new row to a lookup reference table is almost zero effort.

I seem to remember that somehow in DVDP CoO and Locality are intertwined. Which, if I'm correct, complicates things, as it necessitates linking to a locality's rating system.

This doesn't change the fact that adding a COO for a single film is not really necessary.  Therefor, there are more important things to be done.

I'm thinking if Estonia and Slovakia are in the mix, there should be no reason why Nigeria can't be there.

What is the difficulty in adding a country to a drop-down list?  Besides, Astrakan listed 7 films currently available currently on Amazon and samuelrichardscott listed a dozen others.  There is no reason why this country shouldn't be added (along with the others that have been asked for.)
