| Posted: | | | | Hi!
I just got my new HD2. It's a great device.
But now I installed DVD Profiler Mobile on it and I noticed it doesn't fully support WVGA. The main screen seems to be WVGA compatible but the list, details and cover views are not compatible.
Is there anything planned? |

| Posted: | | | | Don't hold your breath. We have one programmer and on top of the online, and your local program, he is developing an IPhone App, plus calls for Blackberry, Palm pre, Droid now HTC, he is only ONE man, not to mention the ever present requests for Apple and CD profiler.
What I would suggest to any and ALL users of the app, before you go out buy some random phone and then start asking for an app for it, understand the limitations of one man and what he is working on. Yes, that means you should probably have purchased an IPhone or a SmartPhone that runs Mobile Windows.

| Posted: | | | | Skip, And maybe you should google before posting about things you do not know anything about: HTC HD2 is a Windows Mobile device. The request is basically for supporting the resolution of it (320x800), which I would expect the 1.3 version to do (I might be wrong, but I would be really surprised if Ken hasn't chosen to fix the problem with different screenresolutions in a somewhat generic way so he won't have to deal with every single variation). Another problem for the HD2 is if the links are too small - it does not have a stylus, and even with it's big screen it can be hard to hit links only a few bixels big. | | | Regards Lars |

Skip HTC HD2 is Windows Mobile phone. There is nothing wrong asking support for different screen resolutions. That is, after all, what is promised on the product page of DVDP mobile: Quote: Support for standard (240x320), and VGA (480x640) devices is built-in, with more on the way. |

| Posted: | | | | If that's true then the Profiler Mobikle app should work. Maybe, Lars you should answer in a far less combative and argumentative tone. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | I didn't want to start a fight here. It was a simple request. I also didn't know that there is only one programmer for all mobile versions.
The HTC HD2 is a Windows Mobile machine with WVGA resolution and I noticed in some screens that only a part of it is used. But there is no urgent need for WVGA. It still works. It just don't use the whole screen.
Sorry for putting this in the wrong forum DVD Profiler Mobile -> Feature Requests. And sorry for the trouble I caused here. |

Sorry for putting this in the wrong forum DVD Profiler Mobile -> Feature Requests. And sorry for the trouble I caused here. No need to apologise. If you read the forums, it's a fairly common situation & certainly nothing new caused by you. It was a reasonable request, another user simply didn't check if your device was one of those that DVDP Mobile supports. |

Sorry for putting this in the wrong forum DVD Profiler Mobile -> Feature Requests. And sorry for the trouble I caused here. No problem, Calib. I don't even try and keep up with the various possibilitiews in the SmartPhone market. And i didn't even ctach that you were running something through Windows Mobile. But we do have people talking about BlacKberry, Palms and even the new Droids (which for all I know might be Windows Mobile) I do Know that poor Ken is but one man and has his hands full, since he has developed the Windows Mobile version i am sure at some point he release a new version...time frame...no prediction. Skip It does unfortunately appear you generally speaking tend to read posts more "aggresive" than they are ment. Which is unfortunate when you then believe you reply at the same level of aggression, and then that reply is in turn considered more aggressive than you intended. It's hard to read a tone out of a forum post, specifically one on an international board where a lot of people are not using their first language. I thought that was what the smileys where for, but apparently not | | | Regards Lars |

I have seen so many unfortunate misunderstandings arise when it is forgotten - and I have been guilty of it myself. Zapping somebody for what turned out to be simply a person's best attempts at using another language. I just PM'd Ken and literally begged him for more help in bringing this set of forums back into the realm of "fun." I know that I don't have to be here, but I want to be ... but I am saddened by how often we lose our civility ... | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here.
